Covid-19: Civil Registration Office guidelines

In the interest of everyone’s safety

You are not required and it is not possible to attend the Civil Registration Service office in person.

During the COVID 19 pandemic, you can apply to register a birth, death or marriage and/or purchase a certificate from the safety of your home by e-mail or by post.

Please log onto our website www.civilregistrationservice.ie for further information or phone Buncrana office (074 9362196) or e-mail us at (BirthsDeaths.Marriages@hse.ie).

We thank you for understanding the importance of keeping our distance at this time and assure you that whilst we can’t deal with you in person, we are happy to assist you by phone and e-mail (during normal office hours).
